St. James Parish Hospital had outgrown its existing facility and built a brand-new hospital located near the existing location but with better access and more visibility.

As a public, non-profit hospital serving the River Parishes for over fifty years, the new 20-bed Critical Access Hospital provides an extensive range of in-patient, out-patient and emergency services for adults and children.

St. James Parish Hospital includes a 24-hour emergency room to the surgical suites, state-of the-art laboratory, x-ray, cat-scan, mammography and nuclear services. The hospital delivers emergency and routine medical care by highly-trained physicians, nurses and allied health professionals using the latest technology.
