Miami Federal Courthouse
Project type
Technology / Low Voltage Design
Location
Miami, Florida
The existing Federal Courthouse in Miami had grown too small for the needs of the 11th Circuit Court and a new building was designed and built on an adjoining block to the existing Federal campus. The 14 story building houses 24 courtrooms with all the support areas necessary to house the staff and security personnel for a Federal Court. The project entailed connectivity to the existing campus via tunnels and duct banks. The cable infrastructure required that both multimode and single mode fiber be installed between the existing data center on the next block and the new data center located on the 7th floor of the new building. In addition to the fiber links, a multiple pair copper link was also established to connect the existing phone system.
